Some images from Julie's shoot... my personal favourites.

Enjoy a peek at a few of my personal favourite portraits of Julie.

I am looking forward to shooting my next calendar model,
in high glamour.

Will post a peek when completed.

  1. It's taken me a few days to share my reaction to these pictures so now here I go....

When I first saw myself in these photos, I was shocked. Not because I didn't think they were wonderfully taken but because I couldn't believe that this is how I really look.
For the past 8 months I would look in the mirror and see the same person I always was, just without hair. The mirror can tell such a different story than a photograph.
I looked at these photos and I didn't like them. I didn't like what I looked like when I had just finished chemo. I didn't like what I saw.
So, I solicited some feedback and expected everyone to say 'Oh ya, get them taken over, you look terrible' but what everyone else said was that they saw beauty and strength. They had gotten used to me looking like this so to them, this is my battle with cancer. To them, I am a warrior.

So I thank you Jen for opening my eyes even further in this journey. I thank you for capturing what we set out to capture in this project: a compelling story about each woman's journey with breast cancer.

These photos are indeed compelling and every day I love them just a little bit more... :-)
